Trousered Up in Green

Just when I think I'm getting my mojo back...another trip to the dentist. I had a cleaning and my final cap/seal on the back of my ol' 30+ year implant. Fingers crossed that my jaw wasn't cracked (that was a possibility, apparently) but they can't tell for sure unless I have an MRI, and since I don't have any bone pain, it's likely that it's not cracked.

Must avoid another Frisbee to the face, methinks.

Anyway, enough of my whining and whinging, let's bang this post out before my freezing is gone so that I can have a nap.
That is the fake smile of a woman who hates going to the dentist. "Yay! I can't wait!"

  • Blouse - Banana Republic, consignment; first seen here in May with graphics and magenta
  • Trousers - H&M, thrifted; first worn here in May in a funky menswear outfit
  • Shoes - Hispanitas; last seen here in April for a short Friday in velvet pants
  • Capelet (below) - Floating Gold Iceberg, thrifted; last worn here in July with zigzags

It's hot today (supposed to be in the 30s tomorrow!) and the light is weird - the smoke from all the wildfires in the interior of the BC mainland is drifting down here to the tip of Vancouver Island, and making the sky hazy and sort of yellow.

The colour of this green blouse is more accurate in the stair picture at the top. It's a deep green with only a hint of blue in it.
The trousers were lovely and comfy to wear. Slightly slouchy. Yeah, I'll just stretch out on my desk...

All covered up from the sun.
 Ready to go...home. And sleep.

The stuff:
I wore black lace anklets with these shoes to minimize toe rub. They are awesome and I need to wear them more. I seem to start style shifts with my shoes, I've noticed. Lots more flats in my wardrobe these days...what will that mean for my clothing style? We have yet to figure this out.

Silver bling:
I'll always love very ornate, detailed things, though.

  • Cuff - St. Paul's Cathedral gift shop, London
  • Bracelet - thrift store, Powell River
  • Earrings - thrifted

Just enough freezing left to let me fall asleep...

  2. Hope your visit went well and I would have been terrified just at the thought of a cracked jaw...
Oh I am wearing slouchy pants today too and they are a dream!

  3. Glad your jaw was NOT cracked - definitely no more frisbees to the face! Perhaps you should wear a clear face shield when you play Ulti?

Wish I could wear shoes like those. Too narrow at the toe for me. Whole outfit is a winner.

    1. Me too! I don't think I'll be playing with a face shield any time soon, but I'll be careful about getting Frisbees near my face, for sure!

      Thank you! It was uber-comfy.
