Mint Wings and Kermit Shoes

Feeling pretty good today - now all the bruises come out from being worked on like I'm a piece of meat.
All week I'll be doing long sleeves, until my tattoo is healed up and presentable.

  • Top - Alfani, thrifted; last seen here with lilacs in July
  • Skirt - Tulle, thrifted; last worn here in April with white lace
  • Shoes - Poetic Licence; last seen here (4th outfit, waaaay down) in October 2015 for my birthday party, with a fab Betsy Johnson dress

But I wore this top so that I could pull up the "wing" and show my coworkers my new ink. Yee haw! Most of them were pretty impressed. I can't wait for over a month for the colour!
Anyway, the outfit. I liked it! All very professional - you'd never know I was all inked up under there.

The stuff:
My fuzzy Kermit shoes. How I love them.

Greeny-blue blings:
The more the merrier!

  • Bangle - thrifted
  • Earrings - Stella & Dot
  • Turquoise ring - local
  • Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes

  1. You look professional, and you managed to be comfortable and treat the new ink right. I think you're ahead of the game here. Love the blouse.

    1. Thanks, Velma! The hardest part is when it starts getting itchy...

    2. Ugh, sing it, sister! This is the first time I've had an outline only, though, and I actually found that the peeling is less horrid than I remembered. A bit like iron filings. :-) But still itchy, especially across the ribs.

  2. I've had a lovely catch up. I really love this shirt with its fan folded sleeves. Very appropriate for the fan zentangler!
Your ink is gorgeous and you must be made of steel to cope with it.
We responded to your poem as we have had a major difficulty in our life lately and needed some inspiration to carry on. Thanks!

    1. Jazzy Jack! Good to see you! Thank you as always for reading. :)

I love this top - the sleeves are just the best, and ha! you're right, such a match for my Zentangle fans!

No, I'm not made of steel, but I am good with pain (all that dental work). Glad you liked the poem; it has always meant a lot to me.

  3. What a KEWL skirt! And I love that you're wearing not-your-typical-summer-shoes! Happy healing to your tat. You are a TROOPER to sit that long. Can't WAIT to see it colored in.

    1. Thank you, Susan! We've been having really cool weather, so it's been nice to break out some of the "real" shoes. The ink is going to be spectacular when it's done!

  8. Kermi shoes? Yay! Are those sleeves or are those sleeves?! Great outfit for showing off the ink. (I'm still working my way back to that post... I'm such a slacker.)
