Red Friday (With Leather Pants!)

A much better day today overall. Could it be because it's Friday?
Nah, I think it's the leather pants.

  • Sweater - Le Chateau, thrifted; last seen here in December 2014 with bark
  • Pants - Gap, thrifted; last seen here in January 2014
  • Shoes - Presence Impel, Fluevog; last worn here in December 2014 with some fuzziness

"I love the woman who feeds me."
Yeah, I'm in all red - I did it for Valentine's Day, because any excuse for a theme, right? When else am I going to wear a super sparkly sweater? I had another outfit planned, but I'll save it for Monday.

I can't believe it's been over a year since I wore these leather pants!
The cuffs have been turned up once, as they are a little short in the leg...so we just go with that.
I was a little worried that they wouldn't fit but they were perfect. Love! I must wear them more - they are really comfy!

The stuff:
Our carpets are being cleaned at work over the weekend, so it was a physical day for me moving things up onto desks and such. Flats were needed!

Heart bling:
Of course, I wore my anatomical heart! What am I, a sappy V-Day pusher? Hee!

  • Necklace - local, gift from L
  • Earrings - don't remember

One of my earrings went missing midway through the day - a coworker found it, but the back was missing. Note my improvised pencil eraser! An old trick.

Someone was happy to see me when I got home.
"I'm Super-Kitty!"
A very happy Valentine's Day to my dear friends and readers!

  4. You look stunning in red Sheila! :)

I too have been caught up with the valentine's day hype, I'd painted my nails red..and then come across a cute little nail art tutorial so I've given that a go. Not bad for a first attempt I think!

I also tried something different with my hair, disaster. I think I'll stick to experimenting with accessories only. Hoping it washes out, haha.

Have a lovely valentine's day and a great weekend!

  6. Happy Valentine's Day!!

That outfit is a complete knockout. Yes, those pants are magnificent! I hope you do wear 'em more! Vizzini knows of course that black and white look smashing with red. ;-)

I actually forgot to wear red or do anything fun because today was too tiresome and depressing--the LEAST unpleasant thing was that the electrical company broke a water main down the street, so we had no water all day. Well, but then we remembered it was Friday the 13th and figured, okay, tomorrow WILL brighten up!

  10. Those pants look absolutely fabulous on you!!! It's always sah-weet when something you haven't worn for a long time still fits like a dream!!! I can't join Shoe Shine, even though I want to - nothing good to show you. Most of my disposable income has gone towards getting our house painted. But I guess that's a priority. I am aiming for next time.

  11. Pencil eraser? That's brilliant. I've worn earrings two days in a row now, shocking. Your reds are ravishing but I especially like the flats.

  12. OOO, I love your Valentine's oufit! (of course, it involves the colour red, and leather). I had two pairs of Gap leather pants, both thrifted, and they are way too small now. When they fit they were very comfortable. You should definitely wear the red ones more often!

  13. Well, you stole my heart with this look.
It's so difficult to find matching reds and here you have done so !
My fave was the heart pendant, you looked marvellous.
