All the Textures and Colours, Plus Lace!

The snow is nearly gone! Huzzah! We're back to "real" Victoria winter, which is temps around 7-10 degrees, and rain. I'm good with that - at least you don't have to shovel it.
Can you tell I am jonesing for spring? These are the most spring-y things I have!

  • Blouse - Tabi, thrifted; last worn here in August 2016 - HA! with the same skirt!
  • Skirt - Alfred Sung, consignment; last seen here - shocking - in August 2016
  • Shoes - Colour Joanne, Fluevog; last worn here (3rd outfit, after my Alice Cooper concert pics) with thrifted Etro
  • Coat (below) - Hilary Radley, thrifted

"I need to get in this closet. I smell shoelaces."
I totally did not realize that I'd worn this exact top and bottom combo before! Oh well, this is the winter version! I have satin and lace (green lame - lah-MAY! lace), and the colours are lilac, blue, green, and even a bit of yellow in the shirt pattern.
"Are you looking at me?"
My WW group loved the shoes - I liked how well they went with this ensemble. I'm nearing the end of my fall/winter wardrobe season (end of March is the swap-over), and this top and skirt are finally worn. They feel more spring to me.

Outerwear:
Same ol', same ol' - Danier fur toque and scarf, and thrifted vintage long wool gloves. By the end of the day, the sun was out, rivers of melting snow were everywhere, and it was far too hot for all these accessories.

The stuff:
I enjoy these shoes. They make me happy.

Blue bling:
First wear of this thrifted beaded necklace.

  • Necklace -thrifted
  • Ear-balls - consignment
  • Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes

I'll be back on Sunday - we have a party to go to this weekend! My dear friend Caro (hi, honey!) is hosting, but hasn't a thing to wear! And since the theme is red and/or pink, and oh, we might know someone who has a little of that in her closet...she is coming over tonight and I'm going to style her up in some of my things. Exciting!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!

  3. I can see why you associate this outfit with spring. Shine always gives me a lift too. These are great pieces! Thank goodness for that coat. We've had some major melting here. It's not gone yet but is 6C as I write, with similar temps ahead. Hurrah!

    1. Bright colours, I need 'em. It's almost all gone here - hope you're seeing the last of the snow too!

  4. Both shimmery pieces work so well together so makes sens you'd pair them that way again! Glad that the snow has gone, hope it continues to get warmer for you and that you have a wonderful time at the party.

  5. Happy shoes are worth their weight in gold. I don't remember seeing this combo before - so I really think you get away with repeating more often (I love it). My friend and I can barely remember what the other wore yesterday!

  7. I agree, these shoes are perfect with this outfit. As a matter of fact, this whole outfit is perfect. Colourwise, texturewise and proportion wise. Very good Sheila.
