Gaga for Shoulders

I've been itching to wear one part of this outfit for ages.
Can you guess which part?

  • Jacket - Garden Collection, H&M, consignment; first worn here in August with dark reds
  • Blouse - Cleo, thrifted; last seen here in August with the last of the white PVC
  • Skirt - Darling; last worn here in April with all the condiments
  • Booties - Coffee Kope Tiam, Fluevog; last seen here as featured in Shoe Shine #24, and last worn here in March with my cognac leather pants

Yeah, it was the jacket. I waggled my shoulders at everyone at work - they loved it. Many of my coworkers wanted to touch the jacket - the texture is so cool. I feel very Lady Gaga in this.
I haven't worn this skirt in a while, so imagine my surprise when it nearly fell off this morning! My recent sickness (plus I've been really good with not eating garbage food over the past couple of months) has caused my weight to dip lower than it's been for over 5 years. I had to safety pin the waistband together to pull about 3" in.

The stuff:
Sometimes you just want a simple, elegant bootie.

  • Necklace - Banana Republic, consignment (for $5.00)

And sometimes you want bigass shoulders on your jacket!

  2. Yeah, those shoulders, love them! Almost as wide a load as a tutu, but without the risk of trashing everyone's desk. I'm glad your skirt didn't fall off. heh.

  4. Yes! to that jacket - you look vibrant and confident. Unless of course, your skirt falls off - good save with the pin. See you at Vis Monday, one hopes! xox

I remember seeing that jacket when H & M was selling that collection and thought it would be fun to wear. That whole outfit is adorable!
