Tunic and Polka Dotted Pants

Today was a busy day! Tons of clients at work, much running around, and general "ah! must get this done now!" moments.
Maybe not the best day to wear some of my higher heels, but hey, if you're going to run around, do it in style, I say!

  • Tunic - Allison Wonderland, thrifted; purchased here for $5.00
  • Trousers - Tara Jarmon, consignment; last worn here in September 2016 with jungle cashmere
  • Shoes - Celestial Communication Andromeda, Fluevog; purchased and first worn here on our anniversary trip to Vancouver in March
  • Coat (below) - Lord & Taylor, thrifted

First wearing of this tunic, and I really liked it, although it wrinkled like mad. It must contain metal! Ha!

I really built this outfit around the shoes, which I wanted to wear for my WW group (I always save the good shoes for them), and didn't really consider how much of my ink would be showing at work.

So when the clients just kept coming...and coming...I thought, "Maybe I shouldn't have so much of this exposed?" but my company supports my look, so I shrugged and moved on from that negative thought.
I like my look - purple hair, aqua glasses, loads of ink, and polka dotted pants, oh my! - and no one said boo. Our clients get a kick out of it.

Outerwear. Where I look more respectable, as befits a lady who's going on 50.
Hee! It's strange how we can second-guess ourselves, isn't it? I don't usually have these crises of appearance - I am pretty well-settled in my skin.

The stuff:
Oh, sweet beautiful shoes! My feet are tired now, especially after two hours of standing for WW. Flats tomorrow, feet, I promise!

Delicate bling:
I liked how the pearls and lace contrasted with the space-age shoes and the bold lines of the tunic and the dotty pants.

Cuff - Nashville, made locally
Ring - vintage fair
Earrings - thrifted

  3. I really like the tunic and pants together - and it's good you realised that you didn't need to second guess yourself. :) Not always easy to remember!

  4. You wear everything with confidence but of course in your work setting you ask yourself these questions. I'm glad you won over that little inner confidence moment. Fantastic look, and I still love those new blue Theos.

  5. I think most people are pretty used to seeing tattoos now, even in the workplace. As yours are not blood spewing skulls or naked women, I can't see why your clients would have a problem with them. It's good to have a job where we can be ourselves, inside and out. Many people don't have that luxury.
