What a fabulously fun and yet still relaxing weekend! I had just the right amount of social interaction and shopping. Yay!
Saturday, Cat, Elaine and I ventured out to Sidney-by-the-Sea, a small town that's on the way to the ferries - it's about a 30 minute drive or hour and a half to bus - thank you, Cat, for driving us all!
- Dress - Kensie, consignment; last seen here (3rd outfit) in March for another shopping expedition
- Shoes - Down-to-Earth Hadfield, Fluevogs; last worn here for a shopping trip with Mom in October
We walked all over town (all 3 blocks of it) and shopped till we dropped. We all had good luck.
It was chilly and raining off and on, so time to bust out the leather.
- Belt - thrifted
- Scarf - Ralph Lauren, consignment
- Leaf earring - Plum
- Stud - local
All along the drive out through the peninsula, we passed farms.
Mitchel's Farm still has pumpkins.
We enjoyed Norma Jean's Closet consignment store, where we all bought a few treasures.
We also visited the local St. Vincent de Paul, Beacon Community Thrift and Connections Consignment (link 'cause I love). Three hours later, exhausted and hungry, we chilled out in the pub.
I found a couple of things at Norma Jean's Closet. These barely worn Poetic Licence shoes were a score at $30.00.
Did I mention the sparkly heel?
What about the glitter in the heel?
Look at that, hardly any wear!
I also caved and bought these funky crystal and pearl "front and back" earrings for $6.00.
At Connections consignment, I found two things I was pleased with. First, this killer thin sweater dress.
I found this shirt on the sale rack for $9.00 while Cat and Elaine were busy with their own stuff.
Last night, L and I stayed warm and hung out with Vizzini while playing board games. I found him this morning, getting the baseboard heater radiation at his bedroom station.

Visible Monday" over at Not Dead Yet Style. Get going, I'll wait.
- Sweater - Banana Republic, thrifted; last worn here (3rd outfit) in September with fringe to see CR Avery
- Cape of Good Hope (worn as a skirt) - Smoking Lily, consignment; last seen here in January in anticipation of hockey
- Boots - 1883 Lucchesse, consignment; last worn here a couple of weeks ago for a weekend shop (shocker)
I wish I'd worn warmer scarf and gloves, but the rest of my outerwear was fine.
Still a few leaves on the maple trees, even after all the stormy weather.
Also all the crows.
This pretty tree caught my eye.
All those dark spots in the trees are crows' nests.
I found this awesome 90s/early aughts knitted dress.
I hate that it's dark so early now! You will have to imagine the vibrant violet of this sheer Guess blouse.
I like the inset lace trim.
I cannot resist a fitted plaid jacket!
I've lamented losing our Plum store in Victoria for many years, but every so often one of their items shows up.
I know! Another faux fur! I think I have a problem.
I can't resist a Talbot's pencil skirt - they're so nice! This one was $24.95 and is made of wool and mohair.
I also found some accessories
And now, back to the football game. I hope you had a rad weekend!
