Groovy Baby! Red Leather Pants and Shiny-Shiny Brocade

Wow, I can't believe it's December already! How the heck did that happen?

As you may or may not know, I like to bust out the really glittery, shiny and sparkly stuff for the month of December. I can't decorate at home (Vizzini Monster Eats All), but I can sure decorate myself!
Okay, you know I had to wear the red leather pants ASAP, right?

These are of course, the sweet $24.95 leather pants I thrifted on the weekend (here). I turned the cuffs up once and pressed them into place and they held beautifully at this cropped length all day.
How did I ever live without a cream satin ruffled blouse with Major Cuffs? I had a few comparisons to Austin Powers today. I last wore this blouse here (2nd outfit) in October as part of my Art Gallery ensemble.
Super shiny jacket! I last wore it here in August with mostly reds. I really love it and get tons of compliments on it.

The stuff:
The new cropped length of the pants works well with a nice loafer. I always show these off - I only paid $2.00 for them, over a year ago! I haven't worn them since our trip to Vancouver in March (here).

Big ol' bling:
I liked the necklace over the blouse - it helped balance all that ruffle and shine business. The earrings remind me of snowflakes.

Jacket (Aldo, thrifted), blouse (CAbi, consignment), leather pants (Gap, thrifted), shoes (Two Lips, thrifted), necklace (Plum), earrings (locally-made).

  5. The leather trousers look awesome, Sheila, and with your brocade jacket, that is certainly a colourful and sumptuous outfit! I think it has a New Romantic vibe to it - must be the frill-front shirt! xxx

  6. I love this coat, it's incredible!! Way to decorate yourself if you don't decorate at home! We do decorate in spite of the kitties being a bit on the crazy side!

  7. Love it! The jacket takes it to a new level.

We finally have in last year and used all plastic ornaments. I hated to do it, but the kitties think a tree with shiny bling is a wonderful thing.

  8. Ohwow! What an awesome fit on those pants. Mmm red leather!

We gave up on the tree like two years ago because of the cats. And now Watson is worse than the whole litter of kittens last year, so we aren't bothering. Love the silly head, but he thinks EVERYTHING is a toy.

  9. The jacket is truly gorgeous, and I love the play of textures between the leather pants and the brocade fabric of said jacket. Good choice on the necklace...I think it makes the blouse look a little edgier!
